Hello my friends so my uncle just asked me to look at his website brand new website he got made using Squarespace and they made a critical mistake that as a newbie he’s made I would definitely make the same mistake if I was new to setting up a website and the problem is although this website looks amazing and he spent a lot of money thousands of dollars to have a photo shoot this critical mistake means that people that visit his Squarespace site on a mobile I’m going to have a terrible user experience and it’s a really really simple thing to fix so if you’ve also just recently launched a Squarespace website or you’re looking to launch your own Squarespace website please pay attention to this it’s really easy to fix but if you don’t fix it it’s going to cause a lot of your visitors to have a really bad experience and probably cancel out or exit from your site so the mistake is with the website pictures most of your website is going to be made out of pictures and that’s where a lot of the loading time comes from and it’s good to have you know higher quality professional pictures but there’s one key thing that you need to do and that is to optimize the picture afterwards so that loads quickly and especially if you think about how people access your website these days for most people it’s on mobile on their mobile phone on their mobile device and if your website doesn’t load quickly then they’re just gonna cancel out because over Wi-Fi it’s a lot quicker you probably got a broadband connection and it’s gonna render that that website really quickly but on a mobile device it’s going through cell tower towers you might have 3G reception instead of 4G so it means that if you can take one extra step to make sure that the images are high quality then your visitors are gonna have a much better experience and you only do this once or for up front and then you’ll have the benefits for as long as your website is live and the really good news is it’s so simple to change your pictures so that they load quickly so this is the before picture which I’ve run through a tool called tiny beat PNG com and what I’ll do is I’ll have a cheat sheet where I go through step-by-step instructions on how you can do this and I’ll make it really simple really easy for you to replicate the same steps now my uncle’s picture on his website this one over here was 1600 kilobytes so 1.6 megabytes and after I ran it through an optimization it came out at 240 250 kilobytes let’s say so the file size reduced by a massive 85% as you can see here and what that means is it’s only 15 percent of the original file size so his images are gonna load five to six times faster and you might be thinking well okay that’s a really high quality image and it’s probably gonna look blurry low quality no the awesome thing about this tool tiny PNG is that the before and after is barely noticeable here’s a before zoomed in and here’s it after zoomed in you can hardly tell the difference so what’s amazing is that if you run your pictures your website pictures at all of your pictures on Squarespace if you run it through this tool afterwards your website is going to look nearly identical in terms of the images but the images are going to load up to five times faster so you’re gonna have a much better experience for all of your website visitors whether they’re on a computer or more likely on a mobile device and so something really quick and easy can do and I’ve also made a little cheat sheet a one page cheat sheet where I break down all the instructions on how to take your original pictures for Squarespace which are probably pretty large image files and then how you can quickly optimize it and use tiny PNG to then make your website a lot quicker to reload it to Squarespace and make it crazy fast and it’s something that it won’t take you long to do you can do this in bulk in my instructions I lay that out so yeah just go ahead you know the drill put your email in and I’ll send you this one-page cheat sheet and yeah let’s get cracking let’s make your website super fast and make sure you get more is coming to your website that are not exiting you have a better experience you look more professional really is easy to implement I made these suggestions to his uncle and to go through his website which has about 30 pictures you could do that whole thing within one hour of time in terms of converting these pictures and then spend that one one hour up front and then for every single visitor that he has to his custom suit making website let’s just say he doesn’t change his website for like six months for six months every single visitor is gonna have a much better experience and he just spent one hour of time upfront and the other awesome thing is grab my RPF cheat sheet the tools that I recommend it’s completely free and it’s free and it’s not even there’s no ads there’s no watermark where it says tiny PNG or anything your before an action after pictures are going to look the same in terms of visually and you’re going to be able to do this without spending any money going through any trials paying any subscriptions so it’s going to be free for you to do it and you’re gonna have an amazing result and a really fast loading website so get on it good luck
